Warner Bros unveiled the teaser trailer of Joker: Folie à Deux on Wednesday. Featuring Joaquin Phoenix as Joker and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, Joker 2 is a direct sequel to the 2019 film, Joker, starring Phoenix in the lead role.

The trailer starts by showing Arthur Fleck, aka, Joker in Arkham Asylum having a tough time when he meets psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel, or Harley Quinn. The two find a lot of things in common, as love blossoms. However, the romance seems to be more toxic than ever.

Penned by Todd Phillips and Scott Silver, and directed by the former, Joker: Folie à Deux also stars Sophie Dumond, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey. The film is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios in association with Joint Effort.

It is to be noted that the original film, Joker, secured 11 Oscar nominations and won Best Actor to Phoenix and Best Original Score. Joker: Folie à Deux is slated to hit theatres on October 4, 2024.
