Indian release date for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire announced

The film opened to mixed review from critics and audience after its US release

The fifth film in the Ghostbusters franchise, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, directed by Gil Kenan, was released in the US theatres on March 22. The makers have announced a release date for India.

Sony Pictures India put out an official post in its X handle stating that the film will have a theatrical release in India on April 26 both in English and Hindi. Also, the film can be rented for Rs 49.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a sequel to the hit Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) which was directed by Jason Reitman, who has co-written the Frozen Empire with Kenan.

The Frozen Empire is about the new and old Ghostbusters joining forces to save the world from a second ice age after an evil force gets unleashed upon discovery of an ancient artifact.

The film features Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard and Celeste O'Connor in major roles among others.
