George Miller to be conferred with CinemaCon's International Career Achievement in Filmmaking Award

With the release of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga just around the corner, George Miller is set to be conferred with CinemaCon's International Career Achievement in Filmmaking Award during its April 8 launch ceremony. An announcement made regarding the bestowment of the honour during the National Association of Theatre Owners' annual convention.

“George Miller, an archetypal storyteller, has transformed the imaginations of moviegoers worldwide, forever altering the cinematic landscape. His filmmaking serves as a testament to his enduring impact and inspiration," said CinemaCon's MD Mitch Neuhauser.

Miller started his filmmaking career with the original Mad Max film, starring Mel Gibson. It gave rise to four more films in the long-running franchise: Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. His other films include Babe, Happy Feet, Happy Feet 2, Lorenzo’s Oil, The Witches of Eastwick, Babe: Pig in the City, and Three Thousand Years of Longing.

The Las Vegas-based Caesars Palace will host CinemaCon from April 8 to 11, featuring thousands of film professionals from across the globe.
