Paramount Pictures' horror feature Vicious, which stars Dakota Fanning, has signed up Kathryn Hunter, Mary McCormack, Rachel Blanchard, Emily Mitchell, Klea Scott, and Devyn Nekoda to the film's cast. Atlas Independent is producing the film, which revolves around a woman who gets a mysterious present at night that leads her to face a bizarre situation, posing a threat to her existence.

Bryan Bertino is the writer and director of Vicious, while Richard Suckle is producing the film and Melinda Whitaker is executive producing it. The film is scheduled for an August 8, 2025, release in theatres.

Of late, Hunter appeared in Poor Things, starring Emma Stone, and The Tragedy of Macbeth from Joel Coen. Her upcoming releases include Francis Ford Coppola's sci-fi film Megalopolis, the Netflix show Black Doves, and A24's horror production The Front Room from the Eggers brothers.

McCormack’s recent projects include The Kids Are Alright, Unpregnant, and HeelsOn the other hand, Blanchard stars in The Summer I Turned Pretty for Prime Video, and she was recently seen in Deep Water, alongside Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck.
