Actor Kali Reis has signed up for Mercy, the upcoming thriller from Amazon MGM Studios, starring Rebecca Ferguson, Annabelle Wallis, and Chris Pratt. The film is set to go on floors this summer ahead of the already-announced release on August 15, 2025, in theatres. Director Timur Bekmambetov's film unfolds in a future where there is a greater level of capital crime. Pratt plays a detective who faces criminal charges and has to substantiate his innocence.

Marco van Belle is the screenwriter of the science-fiction thriller, which Oppenheimer co-producer Charles Roven brought to Amazon MGM Studios. Roven and Atlas Entertainment's Robert Amidon are producing Mercy, alongside Majd Nassif and Bekmambetov’s banner BEL.

A middleweight boxing champion, Reis made her acting debut in a film with Catch the Fair One, which she also co-wrote, and TV series alongside Jodie Foster in True Detective: Night Country. Her future projects include Asphalt City, alongside Mike Tyson, Sean Penn, and Tye Sheridan, and Wind River: Rising.
