Matthew Vaughn is ready to share his next feature with the world, as the first teaser for Argylle has been released. The star-studded Argylle cast includes Henry Cavill as the titular spy

Since most of the details regarding the plot of the movie are currently being kept as a secret, the new teaser only shows a mysterious cat falling off a building as a way of visually representing the phrase "Don't let the cat out of the bag".

Directed by Kingsman's Matthew Vaughn, the film stars Bryce Dallas Howard as spy fiction author Elly Conway, a best-selling author whose fictional spy novel plots begin to mirror the actions of a real espionage organisation.

Director Matthew Vaughn has described Argylle as an ode to 1980s action thrillers like Die Hard and Lethal Weapon. Vaughn cast Cavill as the titular spy because he believes the actor "was born to play Bond," and he wanted to cast him before the actual 007 franchise could.

The film also stars Peacemaker's John Cena, Samuel L Jackson (The Avengers), Catherine O'Hara (Schitt's Creek), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Dua Lipa and Ariana DeBose (West Side Story).

The spy action-comedy is currently slated to arrive in theatres on February 2, 2024.
