A new trailer of filmmaker Taika Waititi's upcoming film Next Goal Wins has been released by the makers. A sports comedy drama, the film stars Micheal Fassbender in the lead role and will hit the theatres on November 17.

Based on the documentary of the same name, Next Goal Wins is billed as a heartwarming comedy. The film follows the American Samoa soccer team, infamous for their brutal 31-0 FIFA loss in 2001. With the World Cup Qualifiers approaching, the team hires down-on-his-luck, maverick coach Thomas Rongen (Michael Fassbender), hoping he will turn the world’s worst soccer team around. The film features Michael as the Dutch soccer coach. The trailer shows Taika talking about the story, with some clips from the film.

Besides Michael Fassbender, the film also stars Oscar Kightley, David Fane, Kaimana, Lehi Falepapalangi, Semu Filipo, Uli Latukefu, Rachel House, Will Arnett, and Elisabeth Moss in supporting roles.

Waiti's directorial has a script co-written by Ian Morris (The Inbetweeners). Next Goal Wins is produced by Waiti along with Garrett Basch and Jonathan Cavendish.
