Prime Video dropped the trailer of the legal drama The Burial. Directed by Maggie Betts, the film stars Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones in the prominent roles.

The Burial is written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Doug Wright, along with Maggie Betts. Centered around a legal battle over a funeral home chain in the 1990s,  The Burial is based on Jonathan Harr's 1999 article in the New Yorker about the contractual dispute case between funeral home executive Ray Loewen and Mississippi businessman Jeremiah O'Keefe, who hired the flamboyant Willie Gary as an attorney. The jury awarded O'Keefe a total of $500 million, which would bankrupt Loewen's company.

Here is the trailer

Tommy Lee Jone plays the role of Jeremiah O'Keefe, while Jamie Foxx is seen as Willie E. Gary. The film also stars Jurnee Smollett, Mamoudou Athie, Bill Camp, Dorian Missick, Pamela Reed, Amanda Warren and Jim Klock.

The film is scheduled to premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival on September 11
