The Crown S6 to focus on wedding of Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles

After running for five seasons, British royal drama The Crown will be coming to an end with its sixth instalment set to air later this year. Netflix revealed some key details of the upcoming season and mentioned that the show will focus on the wedding of Prince Charles and Ms Camilla Parker Bowles, played by Dominic West and Olivia Williams.

The Crown S6 will premiere in fall of 2023.

The sixth season will also show the start of romance between Prince William and Kate Middleton when they met at university St Andrews in the early 2000s.  Actors Rufus Kampa and Fflyn Edwards will play the young royals, with Luther Ford portraying Harry.

The returning cast include Imelda Staunton, Lesley Manville, Claudia Harrison, Jonathan Pryce, Bertie Carvel, Mohamed al Fayed, among others.

The Crown follows the reign of Queen Elizabeth from 1947 through to the early 21st century. Claire Foy essayed the young Queen in the first two seasons. Later Olivia Colman took up the part of the Queen in her middle age. From the fifth season onwards, Imelda Staunton portrays the character. The fifth season saw the marriage between Diana and Charles break, as both of them separate ways.
