Netflix released the first look of its upcoming anime series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, which will feature voiceover by Hayley Atwell.

First announced in 2021, the project is attached to Legendary in order to expand the Skull Island and Tomb Raider universes.

The upcoming series will focus on the titular character Lara Croft, which was played by actor Angelina Jolie in the live action adaptation. Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will mark the character's maiden venture in the animated version. Angelina played the role in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) and  Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life (2003).

The anime series is written by Tasha Hui who will also serve as the executive producer along with Dmitri M Johnson, Tim Stevenson and Dan Jevons.
