A new animated Terminator series will be coming to Netflix, the streaming platform announced recently as part of its Geeked Week announcement slate. It is titled Terminator: The Anime Series.

The series will consist of eight episodes and will be the first animated version of the franchise. The teaser is set in the year 2022 where there is a war between humans and machines. It then goes back to 1997 when the war against the humanity started by Skynet.

Mattson Tomlin will be the show runner of the series and will also be the writer and executive producer of the show. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger of Skydance will be the executive producers. Masashi Kudo will direct.
