Avatar: The Last Airbender gets release date

Netflix's upcoming live action series re-imagination of Avatar: The Last Airbender is set to premiere on February 22, 2024, the streaming platform announced while sharing the first teaser.

The series is an adaptation of the Nickelodeon animated series of the same name.

It revolves around four nations who were harmonious with master of four elements, Avatar keeping peace. However when Fire Nation attacks and wipe out Air Nomads, in comes Aang, a young Air Nomad, and the last of his kind, who comes to reclaim his rightful place as the next Avatar.

Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Daniel Dae Kim, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Elizabeth Yu, Dallas Liu among others are part of the cast. The first season will consist of eight episodes.

Albert Kim will serve as the show runner and executive producer of Avatar: The Last Airbender, along with Jabbar Raisani, Dan Lin, Lindsey Liberatore, and Michael Goi.
