The trailer of Melissa McCarthy-starrer Genie was released recently. The film comes from writer-director Richard Curtis, who is known for films like Love Actually, Notting Hill and About Time among others.

Set to premiere on Peacock, Genie revolves around McCarthy's Flora, the titular character, who comes to the rescue of Bernard (Paapa Essiedu) when his life has taken a real dip. She has endless wishes to grant him, while he has the Earth for her to explore. Together, Flora and Bernard discover the power of love and friendship in this holiday special.

The screenplay of Genie, written by Curtis, comes from the 1991 Teleplay Bernard and the Genie. Sam Boyd, creator of Love Life, has helmed Genie, which also stars Alan Cumming, Denée Benton, Luis Guzmán, Marc Maron, Jordyn McIntosh, Tate Ellington and LaChanze.

The film will premiere on Peacock on November 22.
