Michael Mann to remake Korean thriller Veteran

We had earlier reported that director Michael Mann is currently working on a sequel to his 1995 crime-drama classic Heat. Now, reports state that the filmmaker is also working on a Hollywood remake of the 2015 Korean crime thriller, Veteran.

Mann is developing the film along with the South Korean film and television conglomerate CJ ENM. According to the makers, the director is currently working on the script, which has been slowed down due to the writers' strike in the US. Written and directed by Ryoo Seung-wan, Veteran holds the distinction of being the 5th all-time highest-grossing film in South Korean cinema history.

On the other hand, Michael Mann is currently gearing up to release the Enzo Ferrari biopic Ferrari, which stars Adam Driver in the titular role along with Penelope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Sarah Gadon, Gabriel Leone, Jack O'Connell, and Patrick Dempsey. Ferrari is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on December 25.
