HBO's new series, The Idol's trailer is here

The Idol has its first two episodes premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival

HBO dropped the trailer of the upcoming series, The Idol, starring pop singer Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye and Lily-Rose Depp. Created by the singer along with Sam Levinson, who is best known for HBO's breakout series, Euphoriathe series is set to premiere on Max on June 4. 

The trailer showcases Lily-Rose Depp as Jocelyn, a popular singer. After experiencing a nervous breakdown leading to her last tour's cancellation, she has decided to regain her status as the most famous singer in America. At the same time, she finds herself attracted to a nightclub owner, played by The Weeknd. However, this has caused concern among her entire team.

Abel Tesfaye and Levinson co-created the series with Resfaye and Reza Fahim. The series also stars Moses Sumney, Blackpink’s Jennie, Mike Dean, Dan Levy, Rachel Sennott, Hank Azaria, and Hari Nef, among others.
