WWE Wrestler Seth Rollins joins the cast of Captain America 4

Captain America: New World Order will be released on May 3, 2024

We had earlier reported that the production of the fourth Captain America film, titled Captain America: New World Order, has begun. The latest update is that WWE champion Seth Rollins is also part of the cast.

The wrestler is one of the most popular fighters in modern WWE and has made his acting debut in the Sharknado franchise. However, Captain America 4 will represent his first major role in a feature film, and Marvel still needs to reveal details regarding Rollins' character. 

The upcoming film will be part of Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 5, featuring Anthony Mackie in the lead. 

Captain America: New World Order will also star Tim Blake Nelson, Harrison Ford and Danny Ramirez. Ford is joining the franchise in the role of General Thaddeus Ross. Willaim Hurt, who passed away last year, was essaying the role previously. 

Julius Onah will be directing Captain America: New World Order from a script from Dalan Musson and Malcolm Spellman.The plot details for Captain America: New World Order are kept under wraps now. But, as per the ending of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson should be given a new challenge, as he has become worthy of wielding Captain America's shield. 

The film will be released on May 3, 2024.
