Willem Dafoe to join the cast of Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice 2

The Spider-Man star joins a returning Michael Keaton in the lead role, along with Justin Theroux and Jenna Ortega

We earlier reported that Beetlejuice 2 will be directed by Tim Burton, and will star Michael Keaton in the lead. The sequel also stars Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux and Jenna Ortega. The latest actor to join the cast of Beetlejuice 2 is Willem Dafoe.

Willem Dafoe is said to be playing the role of an afterlife law enforcement officer. 

The film marks the reunion of filmmaker Tim Burton and actors Keaton and Winona Ryder, after their stint together in the 1988 original supernatural comedy. 

The original Beetlejuice also starred Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jordan, and Catherine O'Hara among others.  

The plot details of Beetlejuice 2 are kept under wraps by the makers. However, it is known that the film will be a direct sequel to Burton's 1988 original Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice 2 is set to release on September 6, 2024.
