Elizabeth Banks and John C Reilly will be leading the upcoming timely AI thriller, Dreamquil. Set in the not-so-distant future, is said to deal with what happens when AI and automation are integrated into our day-to-day life. A film that comes amidst AI being the talk of the town, it will be a cautionary tale.

Set in a world with poor air quality, Dreamquil will revolve around people who have started living their lives virtually, with AI having more prominence. Banks' Carol lives a dissatisfied life as a mother, even though she loves her husband (Reilly's Gary). Worried about her life, she signs up for DreamQuil’s avant-garde A.I.-led mental wellness retreat. Gary is then given 'Carol Too' a mechanical clone of Carol. The problem ensues on the return of the human Carol, as the AI Carol would not leave and not stop at anything until the real Carol is eliminated.

American filmmaker Alex Prager is making his debut with Dreamquil. She was nominated for the SXSW Grand Jury Prize in 2023 for her short film Run. Production for the film will begin in the third quarter of the film.

Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman and Alison Small will produce alongside Vincent Landay for Brownstone Productions.
