A biopic on the UK band Frankies Goes To Hollywood, titled Relax, is in the works. The film will be hailing from production houses Working Title and Independent Entertainment. 

Based on the band's lead vocalist, Holly Johnson's memoir A Bone In My Flute, the film is titled after the band's 1983's single. Callum Scott Howells, who is best known for the British miniseries, It's a Sin, tapped in to play Johnson.  

Relax will be written and directed by Bernard Rose, who also helmed the original Relax music video. The film will be produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner for Working Title, while Luc Reg will be produced for Independent Entertainment. 

According to Deadline, the film is eyeing a Cannes Market. 

Frankies Goes To Hollywood were one of the biggest pops groups in the UK back in the 80s. Relax was a controversial hit celebrating homosexual love and was banned by BBC in 1984. However, the song went on to top the UK Singles Chart for five weeks and became the sixth best-selling UK single of all time. The film will explore the song’s genesis and impact.
