A new Blair Witch Project is reportedly in works, which will be directed by Oliver Park, who has previously helmed films like Vicious and Still and The Offering. The yet-to-be titled sequel is attached with Lionsgate.

However, an official announcement on the same is yet to be announced.

The Blair Witch Project franchise was first initiated in 1999, which was helmed by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez. The Blair Witch Project was a found footage horror that involved three youngsters visiting a cursed hilly area in Burkittsville, Maryland and never to be found again. The film was completely filmed using footage.

After the 1999 film, the franchise was rebooted with 2016's Blair Witch. The film took place 20 years after the events of the first film.
