Sosie Bacon has joined Joe Keery, Liam Neeson and Georgina Campbell to star in the virus thriller Cold Storage.  The shooting for the film began recently in Italy and Morocco. In addition to the existing cast members, Lesley Manville is reportedly in final talks to join the film.

A dark comedy sci-fi action film, Cold Storage will revolve around a deadly micro-organism that will stop at nothing to spread. The official synopsis for the film reads, “Several decades ago, a highly infectious, constantly mutating microorganism — capable of extinction-level destruction — was contained in a military facility. In the present day, the military has sealed the facility’s lowest sublevel, selling the remaining space to a self-storage company. As temperatures rise underground, the micro-organism finds a way to escape — and if left to spread, it will soon uncontrollably multiply around the world. The fate of humanity now rests on a retired bioterror operative and two unlikely heroes employed in the facility, who are caught in a race against time to destroy the organism and save mankind.”

The film is written and produced by David Koepp and directed by Jonny Campbell. The film is based on the novel of the same name by author David Koepp. Tony Slater Ling is the DOP for Cold Storage while Billy Sneddon is the editor.

Sosie Bacon is known for her performance in Smile. She played the role of Skye Miller in Netflix's 13 Reasons Why
