Netflix will be adapting the first two novels of AJ Quinnell-- Man on Fire and The Perfect Kill-- as a series. While the first book was originally published in 1981, the second one was published in 1992.

According to the makers, the logline reads, "Man on Fire tells the story of John Creasy, a broken ex-mercenary on a mission to avenge the death of his only friend, while protecting his fallen comrade's daughter from the forces that destroyed her family." The 8-episode drama series will be written by Kyle Killen.

She will executive produce the series with Scott Pennington for Chapter 11. While executive producers Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Bill McGoldrick, and Juan Alfonso are for Chernin Entertainment under their Netflix deal, Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer are for New Regency Productions.
