 Actor Nicolas Cage accidentally drinks his own blood while playing Count Dracula

Actor Nicolas Cage will appear as Dracula in an upcoming film titled Renfield. as the film is gearing up for a release, the actor disclosed that he accidentally drank his blood because of the fake ceramics fangs he used for the character, reported Female First UK

In an Ask-Me-Anything session on Reddit, Cage said," The fangs were genuine, and they were ceramic and quite pointy. So I bit my lip a few times, making me drink my blood." 

The 59 year -old actor further explained, "I was trying to give the character an eloquent and elegant voice that was pretty hard to do with all the ceramic material in my mouth. But I got used to it by taking them home, leaving them in when I was in my hotel room."

Renfield stars Nicholas Hoult plays Dracula's disgruntled assistant Renfield. Apart from Cage and Hoult, the film also stars Awkwafina, Brandon Scott Jones, Ben Schwartz, Bess Rous, and Jenna Kanell. 

Renfield is directed by Chris McKay, who is best known for making films like The Lego Batman Movie and The Tomorrow War. The screenplay is written by Ryan Ridley based on an idea given by Robert Kirkman.

The film is produced by Skybound Entertainment and will be distributed by Universal Pictures. Renfield is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on April 14.
