Actor Millie Bobby Brown, who is known for her roles in Enola Holmes and Stranger Things, will be making her debut as writer and will publish her maiden novel titled Nineteen Steps. The book will be out on September 12.

The novel will be historical and takes inspiration from the actor's family history and her grandmother Ruth who is a survivor of the 1943 Bethnal Green tube disaster incident. “Inspired by my Nanny Ruth, this book is very personal and close to my heart. I grew up listening to stories about her time living through the war. I’m honored to keep her story alive," said the actor in a statement as per The Hollywood Reporter.

The novel is set against the backdrop of World War II and focusses on the 19-year-old Nellie Morris who is a resident of Bethnal Green. "Nellie becomes enchanted with the idea of a broader world. Just when Nellie begins to embrace an exciting new life with Ray, a terrible incident occurs during an air raid one evening, and the consequences are catastrophic. As the truth about that night is revealed, Nellie’s world is torn apart. When it seems all hope is lost, Nellie finds that, against all odds, love and happiness can triumph," reads the synopsis of the book as per the report.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Millie has upcoming fantasy film Damsel, alongside Angela Bassett. The film will release on Netflix on October 13. She is also part of The Electric State, a science fiction adventure film helmed by the Russo brothers.
