Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel to feature Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani

The sequel of Ghostbusters: Afterlife will feature actors Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, Emily Alyn Lynd, James Acaster in prominent roles. However, the details on the characters they will play are kept under wraps.

Directed by Gil Kenan, Jason Reitman is the co-writer along with the director. The duo is also backing the film along with Jason Blumenfeld. The original cast members Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace and Paul Rudd. The film is set to premiere on December 20.

While the plot of the upcoming film is not known so far, the sequel will continue from the events that the 2021 film left with. The appearance of the iconic firehouse is also expected to be featured in the sequel. Ghostbusters: Afterlife was set years after the original film and revolved around Callie and her two children Trevor and Phoebe. They begin to unravel information about Callie's late father who was a ghost buster, as they come to a new town.

The sequel recently went on floors.
