Todd Field says Tar might be his final directorial outing

Todd Field, who recently directed Cate Blanchet starrer Tar, has announced that Tar might be his final directorial outing. 

Tar-marked Todd field's third directorial venture after In the Bedroom (2001) and Little Children (2006). During an Interview with Cinema Scope, Todd Filed disclosed the chance of Tar being his final film, "There's a real challenge in making a film of any size, "It's not for the faint of heart. I wish I was cut out for different stuff because I probably wouldn't make more films. It takes a great deal out of me to make a film; I don't know that I'll ever make another one." Todd said in the interview. 

When asked if Tar would be his last directorial, he said," Yes, I think so." then he added, "I didn't think about it until now. It's highly likely."

Written and directed by Todd filed, Tar secured six nominations at the 95th Academy Awards, including Best Original Screenplay, Best Director and Best Picture in Todd's name.
