Andy Samberg, known for his performance as Jake Peralta in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, is awaiting the release of his new series Digman! Meanwhile, he is working on Lee, an upcoming WWII biographical drama. While he will be seen as photojournalist David Scherman in Lee, Kate Winslet will be seen as model-turned-photojournalist Lee Miller.

Speaking about his performance in Lee, Samberg told Collider, "A big part of the draw for me outside of the fact that I was really drawn to playing this real person, David Scherman, and the script, was getting to work with Kate Winslet, who is someone that I just really admire and I know has an incredible work ethic and a consistently high quality of work. So when they asked if I'd be interested in that, that was, for me, a big reason I was willing to give it a shot and sort of go out of my comfort zone."

Lee is set to cover only a short period of Miller's life. The film will revolve around her time working as a photojournalist during the height of WWII documenting for Vogue magazine the atrocities across Europe. She met Life magazine photographer Scherman during that time and launched a professional partnership with him.

Samberg's upcoming animated series Digman! will follow archaeologist Rip Digman who has been fired 10 years ago from the Smithsonian and has been down on luck ever since. He believes that his popularity might change after embarking on an adventure with a young archaeologist. The series will premiere on March 22 on Comedy Central.
