Terry Crews is all set to headline the upcoming comedy pilot show JumpStart on CBS. The pilot will be based on Robb Armstrong's comic strip of the same name.

JumpStart will follow the life of Joe (Crews), a Philadelphia policeman, his wife Marcy, a nurse and his partner Crunchy. Joe and Marcy's parenting styles will be one of the highlights of the show. They are young and urban parents with old-school values.

Robb Armstrong first started penning his comics in 1989. In 2014, 20th Century Fox tried to adapt the comics into a television show. However, the project never made it.

Phill Lewis will direct JumpStart from a script written by Wayne Conley. Conley has adapted the series for television and will also be an executive producer on the show.
