Willow cancelled after first season

Disney+ has cancelled its live-action original series Willow, after its first season. The series is based on the 1988 film of the same name. The series took off directly after the events of the original film. Warwick Davis reprised his role as Willow Ufgood from the original film. 

The dark fantasy series followed a group of misfits as they go on an epic adventure to save the world from an emerging evil. The first episode, premiered in November last year and had run till January. Stephen Woolfenden directed Willow, from a script written by series creator Jonathan Kasdan. 

Willow had Warwick Davis play Willow, Ellie Bamber as Elora Danan, Ruby Cruz play Princess Kit, Erin Kellyman as Jade, Tony Revolvori as Prince Graydon, Amar Chadha-Patel as Thraxus Boorman, and Dempsey Bryk as Prince Airk, among others. The first season of Willow is currently available to stream on Disney+.
