Jack Black to star in Christmas comedy Dear Santa

The film will be directed by Bobby Farrelly, with Petre Farelly serving as a producer

Renowned actor-comedian Jack Black will be joining the cast of Dear Santa, hailing from Farrelly Brothers (Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly). The collaboration will mark a reunion of the actor and directors after the 2001 comedy Shallow Hal

According to Deadline, billed to be a Christmas comedy, Dear Santa will be directed by Bobby Farrelly, with Petre Farelly serving as a producer along with Bobby and Jeremy Kramer. 

Dear Santa revolves around a boy who mistakenly sends the yearly notes to Satan instead of Santa. Farrelly Brothers are currently writing the script with an original idea from Dan Ewen.

Apart from Jack Black, Dear Santa stars Robert Timothy Smith, Keegan-Michael Key, Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, PJ Byrne, Jaden Carson Baker, Kai Cech and Austin Post.

Meanwhile, Jack Black next will be seen in Universal’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie as the voice of Bowser, the film's main antagonist and will be out in April.
