The Whale streams on SonyLIV on this date

The film won two Academy Awards, including Best Makeup and Hairstyling and Best Actor for Brendon Fraser

Following the victory at the 95th Academy Awards, Brendan Fraser starrer The Whale will be streamed on SonyLIV on March 16. The streamer announced the news on Tuesday. Directed by Darren Aronofsky, The Whale won two Academy Awards, including Best Makeup and Hairstyling and Best Actor for Brendon Fraser.

The  Whale is based on Samuel D Hunter’s play, and he also penned the script. Bankrolled by A24, The Whale revolves around a reclusive English teacher Charlie, played by Brendon, who lives with severe obesity. 

Besides Brendon, the film also stars Hong Chau, Sadie Sink, Ty Simpkins, Hong Chau, Samantha Morton, and Sathya Sridharan. Earlier, Brendon also won the Critics Choice Award for Best Actor.
