Rahul Sipligunj meets Rihanna at the Oscars

The Naatu Naatu singer called the interaction an emotional one

Rahul Sipligunj, who recently performed the Oscar award-winning Naatu Naatu at the Academy Awards ceremony, met his fellow nominee and global pop star Rihanna. Rihanna was nominated in the Best Original Song category for the single Lift Me Up from the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Rihanna, incidentally also performed her song at the awards show, which took place on Sunday night.

Taking to social media to express his excitement at meeting the Barbadian singer, Rahul wrote, "Wow! Met an most amazing lady with a very beautiful heart. Still in shock by seeing your humbleness Rihanna and how down to earth you are! Thank you so much for calling and appreciating for the performance and our Oscar win. It’s an emotional moment for me! A dream come true."

In addition to singing, Rahul Sipligunj will soon be making his acting debut with Krishna Vamsi's upcoming film Rangamarthanda, where he will be starring opposite Shivatmika Rajashekar. Rangamarthanda is the official Telugu adaptation of the Marathi film Natsamrat (2016) and stars Brahmanandam, Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishnan in principal roles.
