Actor Jennifer Garner is set to reprise her role as Marvel anti-hero Electra in the upcoming film Deadpool 3.

The actor had essayed the role in the 2003 Ben Affleck starrer-Daredevil after which she acted in a spin-off solo movie Elektra in 2005. As per a Deadline report, her involvement in Deadpool 3 suggests a multiverse in the making and hints at a possibility of other characters from Marvel films made by Fox could to appear.

Deadpool 3 will also mark Jennifer’s reunion with Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy, who have worked in Adam Project.

With Deadpool 3 hitting the theatres on May 4, 2024, it will be the first R-rated film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film also features Hugh Jackman starring as Wolverine, marking his final appearance as the character. Morena Baccarin, Emma Corrin, and Stefan Kapicic are also part of the cast. Deadpool 3 was shot amid the WGA strike, which means Ryan's will not be able to improvise his lines.
