House Of The Dragon’s Paddy Considine and Aladdin's Mena Massoud cast in boxing drama Giant

House of the Dragon lead actor Paddy Considine and Mena Massoud who is popular as Disney's Aladdin, are set to star in a new boxing drama, Giant. 

The film is written and directed by Rowan Athale. It is backed by Rocky creator Sylvester Stallone, with Braden Aftergood of Balboa Productions serving as the executive producer. It may be noted, that Giant is the seventh Sylvester Stallone-produced project in development through his Balboa Productions production company.

Giant is based on the real-life story of British-Yemeni boxer Prince Naseem “Naz” Hamed. The film will chronicle his rags-to-riches journey to a world championship under the training of his Irish-born boxing trainer Brendan Ingle. Massoud will play Hamed with Considine playing his coach.

Paddy Considine starred as King Viserys Targaryen in House of the Dragon, the spinoff prequel series to Game of Thrones. His other credits include Peaky Blinders, The Girl with All the Gifts, The World's End, and more. 

Other than Aladdin, Mena Massoud's work includes Canadian drama series Open Heart (2015), Prime Video series Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, and the Hulu series Reprisal. He was last seen as Prince Thomas in the Netflix original film The Royal Treatment

No release date has been announced for the feature.
