Jillian Bell to star in Candy Cane Lane

The upcoming film is directed by Reginald Hudlin

Actor Jillian Bell is roped in for Candy Cane Lane, the upcoming holiday comedy film. 

Directed by Reginald Hudlin for Amazon, the film stars Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross. 

According to Deadline, Kelly Younger has written the script. And the story is based on the writer's childhood holiday experiences. Candy Cane Lane is backed by Murphy and Charisse Hewitt-Webster for Eddie Murphy Productions, and Brian Grazer and Karen Lunder for Imagine Entertainment.

The film is slated to premiere on Prime Video. Meanwhile, Bell, the Emmy-nominated actor, writer and producer, is popularly known for her role in the acclaimed film-- Brittany Runs a Marathon, for which Bell bagged the Fairbanks Award at the San Diego Film Festival. 

Bell, last seen in, I'm Totally Fine, has a slew of projects in the pipeline including Charlie Day’s directorial debut El Tonto, Netflix’s Murder Mystery 2 and  Reunion.
