Big Shot cancelled on Disney+ after two seasons

The cancellation comes four months after the Season 2 launch

John Stamos starrer Big Shot has been cancelled on Disney+ after two seasons. The cancellation comes four months after Season 2's premiere.

The sports comedy series follows Marvyn Korn(John Stamos), a temperamental basketball coach fired from his job at the University of Wisconsin. He relocates to California to coach a girls’ basketball team at Westbrook School, an elite high school for girls. From the school, he learns that teenage players require empathy and vulnerability. 

The show was created by David E. Kelley, Dean Lorey and Brad Garrett. Lorey also served as the showrunner—the first season of Big Shot premiered on April 16, 2021. In September 2021, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on October 12, 2022. 

Big Shot also starred Jessalyn Gilsig, Sophia Mitri Schloss, Nell Verlaque, Tiana Le, Tisha Custodio, Cricket Wampler, Echeagaray and Yvette Nicole Brown.
