The trailer of Kyra Sedgwick's directorial Space Oddity has been released by the makers. The rom-com stars Kyra's husband Kevin Bacon, Kyle Allen, and Alexandra Shipp in lead roles. 

The trailer of Space Oddity shows Kyle as Alex, a young man who decides to train for a one-way trip to Mars, giving up everything that he once called home. Knowing that Alex has no way back home scares his family, and forces them to look at their own lives. As Alex prepares to leave, he sets out to get help from an Insurance company. He meets a new girl and gets to know her, and gets into a dilemma about flying away or planting his feet back on Earth. 

Space Oddity first premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June last year. The film also stars Simon Helberg, Madeline Brewer, Carrie Preston, Christopher Jackson, Andrew Polk and Arden Myrin. With a screenplay written by Rebecca Banner, Space Oddity is produced by Kyra, Richard Arlook, Jack Greenbaum, Mark Maxey, Mickey Schiff, Matt Smith, Meredith Bagby and Valerie Stadler. The film's music is by Travis Bacon and Scott Hendrick. The film is distributed by Goldwyn Films.

Space Oddity will hit theatres on March 31.
