An ensemble cast comprising Lena Headey, Yara Shahid, Isabela Merced, Lana Condor, Millicent Simmonds, and Iris Apatow is to star in Ballerina Overdrive. The upcoming action thriller is directed by Vicky Jewson from a script by Kate Freud. 

Ballerina Overdrive revolves around a troupe of ballerinas whose bus breaks down on the way to a dance competition. They find themselves fighting for survival as they attempt to escape from a remote inn. As the ballerina choreography forms an important part of the film, award-winning stunt designers Heidi Moneymaker and Renae Moneymaker will create the film's dance-based action choreography. 

Five-time Emmy nominee Lena Headey is known for portraying Cersei in Game of Thrones. Lana Condor, who is known for To All the Boys I've Loved Before, was recently seen in Moonshot. She will be next seen in Warner Bros’ Coyote v. Acme.

Yara Shahidi will next be featured as Tinker Bell in the upcoming live-action Peter Pan & Wendy and in Grownish. Isabela Merced will next be seen in Madame Web as well as the film adaptation of Turtles All the Way Down. 

Filming for Ballerina Overdrive will begin in Serbia second quarter of 2023. Currently, no release date has been set for the feature.
