Production begins on live-action adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s

The roles being played by Hutcherson and Lillard are currently being kept under wraps

Blumhouse productions begins production on their live-action adaptation of Five Night at Freddy’s. It was earlier confirmed that Josh Hutcherson will star as the lead in the film. 

The film is scheduled to go on the floors from February in New Orleans. Josh Hutcherson is best known for his performance in The Hunger Games film series alongside Jennifer Lawrence. Matthew Lillard is known for appearing in films like Scooby-Doo and Scream. The roles being played by Hutcherson and Lillard are currently being kept under wraps.

Emma Tammi, known for films like The Wind and Blood Moon, will be directing the film based on a script that the director co-wrote with Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. The film is set to feature a large number of animatronic creatures being designed by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. 
The film follows a new security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza who finds that the night shift at the job will demand more out of him than what he signed up for.
