A24 developing live-action film of video game Death Stranding

The creator of the game, Hideo Kojima and his banner Kojima Productions, is also part of the film

Production banner A24 has announced that it is working on the live-action film adaptation of action video game Death Stranding, along with its creator Hideo Kojima and his banner Kojima Productions.

“The film promises to delve into the mysteries surrounding the apocalyptic event called the ‘Death Stranding,’ which blurred the lines between life and death, and brought forth nightmarish creatures into a world on the brink of collapse," reads the synopsis as per a Variety report.

The video game is set in a world which has just witnessed a violent and catastrophic chain of events, leading to dangerous creatures out in the open. The players are tasked to control a courier who connects colonies and bring resources.

The makers are yet to announce the cast and other details of the film.
