The Summer I Turned Pretty renewed for season 3

The series features Lola Tung, Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney in lead roles

Prime Video, on Friday, announced that their original series The Summer I Turned Pretty, has been renewed for a third season. The renewal comes even before the completion of season 2. The finale episode of the second season will premiere on the streaming platform on August 18. 

The second season of The Summer I Turned Pretty starts with the death of Susannah (Rachel Blanchard). The story then goes on to establish that the Summer Beach house in Cousins is up for sale. The Summer gang, including Belly (Lola Tung), Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Steven (Sean Kaufamn), get together to somehow save the house. 

The Summer I Turned Pretty is a multigenerational drama exploring a love triangle involving a girl and two brothers. Set over the course of a Summer, the series is also a coming-of-age story. The show also features Jackie Chung, Rain Spencer, David Lacono and Alfredo Narciso. The series is an adaptation of Jenny Han's young adult novel by the same name.
