Warner Bros is developing the sixth instalment of Final Destination after almost 12 years since the fifth instalment was released in 2011. At CinemaCon it was announced that Final Destination 6 is under development with Zach Lipovsky and Adam B Stein directing. Jon Watts will serve as the upcoming film's producer and writer.

The announcement that directors Lipovsky and Stein were roped in to helm the sixth instalment, came a while ago. However, confirmation regarding the film's pre-production came only at this year's CinemaCon. The plot details of Final Destination 6 are still under wraps. However, Jefferey Reddick, the original Final Destination creator and writer previously said that it won't follow the film's usual formula.

This instalment is expected to relaunch the franchise that started with the 2000 film, Final Destination. As the film is still in the early stages of production, the makers are yet to reveal a release date.
