The fourth instalment from The Conjuring franchise has been revealed as The Conjuring: Last Rites. The announcement was made during the CinemaCon event that took place in Las Vegas.

The Conjuring franchise stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. While the director of the fourth instalment is yet to be revealed, it is highly likely that James Wan who backed and helmed the first film, might return to helm the film.

"With the Conjuring films, we are very precious about [them]. And so we kind of want to just take our time to make sure we get it right and to make sure the emotion of the Warren stories that we want to tell, and moving into, and potentially wrapping up, we just want to make sure that it's the right thing, the right story that we're telling," James was quoted as saying earlier.

However, the makers did not confirm if The Conjuring: Last Rites will be the last part of the horror franchise.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros Discovery also announced a new horror TV series based on The Conjuring universe.
