Amazon Prime Video’s fantasy series The Wheel of Time has added cast members for its second season. Danish model-actor Maja Simonsen, Icelandic actor and former Olympic swimmer Ragga Ragnars, Jay Duffy, and Rima Te Wiata, have joined the cast of the series in recurring roles. 

The series is based on the original novel series by Robert Jordan, the new cast members will play characters from the books. Chiad, maiden of the Spear of the Stones Rivers sept of the Goshien Aiel will be played by Simonsen while Ragnars will play Bain. Dain, the high-ranking officer of the children of the light will be played by Duffy while Wiata will play Sheriam Bayanar. 

Rafe Judkins serves as the executive producer and showrunner for the series. Rosamund Pike, who plays the central character Moiraine in the series, also serves as an executive producer along with author Brandon Sanderson, who helped finished the book series after the death of Rober Jordan. The Wheel of Time series is produced by Amazon Studios along with Sony Pictures Television.
