Will Ferrell to headline golf comedy series

The series is set to revolve around a professional golfer who competes with the PGA by becoming the face of a controversial new league

Gloria Sanchez Productions of Will Ferrell & Jessica Elbaum, and T-Street of Rian Johnson & Ram Bergman are teaming up to develop a comedy series based on golf, starring Ferrell. The series is set to revolve around a professional golfer who competes with the PGA by becoming the face of a controversial new league. 

Although a fictional story, the comedy series may take inspiration from the controversial LIV Golf startup. The series marks Ferrell's first comedy series. He rose to fame on Saturday Night Live. His biggest Television role after SNL is his stint in The Shrink Next Door on Apple TV+.

Ferrell is also an avid golf player who has hosted a fundraising event benefiting Cancer for College, for two decades called, The Will Powered Classic.
