It's the reboot season for book-turned-movie franchises. While only a few days back the newly rebranded Max announced that a series format of Harry Potter is in works, the latest reports suggest that Twilight series might get an adaptation too.

The project is in nascent stages of development at Lionsgate Television. Sinead Daly, who has worked in projects like The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Tell Me Lies, will be working as the writer. Talks are on between the writer and studio on how the reboot will take place, a direct adaptation or will it have a spin to it.

The Hollywood Reporter report also mentions that Stephenie Meyer, the author of the Twilight series, will also be part of the series. Wyck Godfrey and Erik Feig will be serving as executive producers.

The Twilight series is a romantic fantasy tale of vampire Edward Cullen and human Bella Swann, portrayed by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart respectively. The main Twilight series consists of four books, which were adapted into five films.
