Anthony Ramos is all set to star in Twisters, a sequel to the 1996 film Twister. The film already announced that Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell are a part of the film's cast. With the script penned by Mark L Smith, the reboot is helmed by Lee Isaac Chung. The film is set to hit the theatres on July 19, 2024.

Twister revolved around storm-chasers as they ran after the most powerful tornados. However, the plot of the new film is kept under wraps.

The original Twister starred Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton, Carey Elwes and Philip Seymour Hoffman, among others. The 1996 film earned about $500 million at the box office and received multiple Oscar nominations in the visual effects and sound categories. Helmed by Jan De Bont, with a screenplay by Michael Crichton, Steven Spielberg executive produced the film.

Twisters is backed by Warner Bros Pictures along with Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley.
