The remake of Baywatch is reportedly under development at Fremantle. They're already in talks with many streamers and broadcasters to bring the series back.

Originally released in 1989, Baywatch, the series, follows the lives and adventures of a team of lifeguards on a crowded beach. Lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (David Hasselhoff) and his team strive to control and keep the crowds safe from the raging seas.

Initially cancelled after only one season, the series became a massic hit through the 90s and later got a reunion film in 2017. The reunion film, also titled Baywatch, starred Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson in lead roles. Unfortunately, the feature adaptation was not received very well.

The original Baywatch was created by Michael Berk,  Douglas Schwartz, and Gregory J. Bonann, which also starred, Pamela Anderson, David Charvet, Yasmine Bleeth, and Nicole Eggert among others. Details about the cast and crew members of the remake remain undisclosed.
