Teaser of John Wick spin-off series The Continental is here 

The show is set against the backdrop of 1970s New York

We had earlier reported that a John Wick spin-off series The Continental is in works. The makers have now released the trailer of the prequel miniseries.

The Continental will not include Keanu Reeves' titular hitman character that is on a revenge spree. However the series will be set before the first John Wick film. It will premiere on Peacock in September. The series is based on a famous hotel chain which serves as a residence for many hitmen and killers. It will throw light on how the premise goes on to become one of the famous hub for assassins.  The show is set against the backdrop of 1970s New York.

Mel Gibson, Collin Woodell, Peter Greene, Ben Robson, Ayomide Adegun, Nhung Kate and Katie McGrath are part of the cast. The show will be helmed by Albert Hughes who directed the first and last epsiode and Charlotte Brandstom in charge of the second. Greg Coolidge, Derek Kolstad, Shawn Simmons and Kirk Ward are the writers.
