The Afterparty season 2, the upcoming murder mystery comedy series, is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on July 12. It is created by Academy Award winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord.

The 10-episode second season will premiere with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode every Wednesday through September 6, 2023.

According to the makers, the series is said to be a genre-bending comedy that explores a different character’s account of one fateful evening. The series stars Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao. The second season follows a series of incidents that unfold when a marriage is ruined after a groom is murdered. While every guest is suspected, detective Danner (Haddish) returns to help Aniq (Richardson) and Zoë (Chao) solve whodunnit by questioning family members, star-crossed lovers and business partners, and hearing each suspect’s retelling of the weekend, each with their own unique perspective and visual style.
